Can you connect to elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19806 just long enough to reproduce the problem? I'm running a packet logger on that server now. There'll be a lot of data to sort through so the quicker you can reproduce it and disconnect the better.

Hi JLV I'm in the UK, so can't do it right away. I will do it this evening which is as soon as possible for me. Thanks for your patience with the problem.

Did you confirm that the chat wasn't working when you were on the server?

Okay, So I have just connected to 19806 and the first time i was the 2nd player to join and therefore ghosted after the 1st gate. Then I reconnected as the first player in the server and then the 2nd player joined and we were able to race as per normal. I hope you can gather some information from this.

Looks like your client isn't answering ping messages. That'd explain why it drops you when you're a spectator since that's the only time it sends a ping. The ping packets are very short, only 13 bytes, so my guess is either you or your ISP have something running that drops short packets.

To work around the problem in the server I added some padding to the ping packet. Give 19806 another test and let me know if it works now.
