Advice on computer tower

Hi guys, I've been playing mx sim for about 1 1/2 years now and my computer got load up with bikes and gear and it started lagging after a while of downloading stuff. I cleaned it out and it's alot better now but still lagging cause it's a cheap old computer. I can't spend a ton of money because I'm not a billionaire so what could I get to make it run better and faster? It really only glitches when there's a ton of objects and it has to load all of it on the screen. Besides that it's fine. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could do or get to help it run better?
