Timing out? but i'm loaded in and sitting on the line waiting for others

Post by Yamahaman95 »

It's looking like it doesn't matter the amount of riders, this is just a hit or miss thing. might happen every 1 in 10 races. I understand the concept of timing out..which is what it seems like is happening..but i'm already completely loaded in and waiting on other players..then the count down for them stops..and nothing happens after that. i can't disconnect either, i have to load another track up to get out of it. I'm not loading in even half of my memory on my graphics card either when this happens. I'm not sure what it even might be since i'm already completely loaded in.

Could be a bug in the loading code. What's the last thing it does before it stops responding?

it will say waiting on for example 284 (60s)
waiting on 284 (51s)
then nothing else loads in the chat or anything. it just stops completely. not the game..but the server chat and everything. Game never stops. but before that happens..i can talk in the chat while im loaded in waiting for others..then i just get kicked out basically

Does the network activity stop? Try running resmon.exe and checking the network tab.

Okay i'm assuming i should do that when it happens. I don't know if it makes a difference, but i can still talk in discord, and load a new track and load right back into the server. I'll pull up resmon when it happens and let you know

It does send a big surge of data once the last rider readies up. I wonder if something might see that and automatically block it. Does it happen less often when there are less riders?

Have you tried disabling your firewall and antivirus?
