I dont know how to change the bikes sounds

I keep seeing all these pipe codes and youtube videos and really cool sounds of the bike, but i dont know what to do with the pipe codes. Where do i put them?

Pretty much my only skill with this game is downloading bikes and tracks off of Puremxs and i would really like to change the sound of my bikes.
If someone could tell me what to do with all these codes and how to apply them id appreciate it.
