I recommend getting the best NVidia card you can afford. You might lose a benchmark by a couple percent vs. the ATI cards but at least your drivers will work.

I'm mainly looking for something that will cover pretty much anything. I dont want it to lag out just because graphics are a bit high. Is there anything specific of that that u reccomend ?

If price is no object, get a GTX 480 based card.

Just searched a little bit. This is what i came up with:http://www.amazon.com/Zotac-GeForce-Gra ... B003N18TEC and http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CHAQ8wIwBw#
For mxsim perticularly, which would be better for a Win7 64bit laptop?

Remember that if your running on a laptop your going to have to buy a card for a laptop. They dont use the same cards as pc's

Re: Graphics card : Help me choose new?
Sorry for double post, but jlv, considering i now know that laptop and PC cards are different, are there any other recomendations or any links you can give me for a highly recomended card. Price range between 375$ to somewhere near 480$. If theres anything good anywhere near those prices, if i could have a link that'd be great,
Re: Graphics card : Help me choose new?
There isn't a standard graphics slot for laptops. Some laptops have a proprietary graphics slot but most are not upgradable.
My advice would be to buy a good desktop and use a cheap laptop that you won't miss too much if it gets stolen.
