Computer startup problem

Post by sk84life933 »

Im having trouble starting my computer, im on my moms right now. Every time I turn it on, and it loads the desktop, about 5 seconds later it will just shutdown and restart its self right away. Ive kept on turning it on about 5 times, and the same thing happens. If anybody knows whats wrong, please tell me.
Thanks.

Not sure, that part never shows up. How would I turn it off? I know nothing about computers, and my brother had left to Air Force Basic Training so he couldnt fix it.

When you start the computer start pressing f8, a screen will come up and go to "Safe Mode" from there see if it still happens.

Ok, it starts up in safe mode, but the desktop and color are all messed up, but the icons are in the right place. But I guess ill just have to restart my system, a blue screen popped up twice when I tried going down to the disable the automatic shut off when the system fails.

Eh, kinda. It said it was infected with some virus or something with an ia in the beginning with .exe at the end. Ill get it again tomorrow, and right down what it said. Ill get back to you tomorrow with exactly the name of the file or program or whatever it is.
