Hey guys,

i have a "good" setup for supercross now but its soooo hard to ride the whoops clean.

Is there any specific thing on the bike setup what helps to ride the whoops easier?

thanks

I have figured its all about the suspension balance, if the back kicks more that the front, it will get worse as you go over them, if the front kicks more the the same will happen. If the compression and rebound is the same it will be good, but of course they are not the same because of other reasons, so to compensate, mess with the rebound a little to get it right.

So:

If your front compression is more than the back, make the rebound of the rear shock faster, so less rear shock damping.
If your front compression is less than the back, make the rebound of the rear shock slower, so more rear shock damping.

Hope this helps. :)

yeah i think that same thing ive been playing with my suspesion balancing latley and i accually went from running low rear compression and low rebound and my front end being like 75 on compression and 50 on the rebound to running front 85 compression and 80 rebound then my rear at 50 compression and 55 rebound. it really seem to catch every whoop better and stayed right on top of them. i also think shifting to proper gears can help it to at oakland i shift to 3rd and fly threw them but some tracks 2 grabs then better

also rider mass distribution helps how the bike sets through the whoops. i have mine at .42

Is the rider mass, up and down, or forward and back?

the higher the number puts more weight on the back, lower more on the front.

I think low high oil level is good also higher damping rebound than shock rebound :D (works with keyboard, for me anyway) :D

low high? O.o and you mean slower rebound back tan in the front? or have skipped my tips? ;)

For supercross, you want stiff, springy front suspension and soft plush rear suspension....end of story.
