Alt + Tab

Post by yzmxer608 »

Why is this game so sketchy with Alt + Tab? Almost every time it never goes back in game when I tab back in, it just gives me the cross-hair cursor and sounds but shows the windows environment. Either that or shows a black screen, then I have to shut down the game in task manager (which it also struggles at and makes my screen flicker when I click end task 10 times trying to get it to quit). Some times it works first try, others I have to tab into it 4 tries to get it to work right. It's just annoying

It's probably the ChangeDisplaySettings call. Is it OK when running in a window?

Yes. I have the same problems as YZ. I've just resorted to running it in a window the past two years.

I did the same thing as Phathry. It only started doing it on my new PC though. Maybe it's a Win7 thing?

I should be able to fix it for fullscreen at the desktop resolution. Fullscreen at a different resolution than the desktop will still require a call to ChangeDisplaySettings which does seem a little shaky sometimes.

I just use ctrl+alt+delete, then i just open task manager from there.
Same result as alt+tab just a few more buttons.
