You will probably want to get a controller, and put in lots of practice. This game is kinda like learning an instrument. But harder.

You're not going to be able to just get the game and start playing it good right away. Forget what you know about controlling other MX games and realize this is designed to be a simulator and it's hard to control. It's going to take practice to ride good and tons of practice to ride fast and consistent.

Re: stability and suspension
i know that it comes with practice(just like everything else in life), but the physics on this game are nothing like real motocross....at least from what i have experienced with the game....i mean, i ride an 85, and when i come up to the first corner, i dont wash completely out and go sliding if i tweak the bars a little....about that "controller"....what is that? is it like a handlebar setup that hooks up to the computer instead of a computer? i am not trying to be rude, but i need to know this stuff BEFORE i buy the full version...

Re: stability and suspension
You can use an x-box 360 controller with a cable, which is what I use, or a ps3 controller (among many others)
And the physics are near spot on. I'm sure we're all skeptical at first, when we think we should automatically be good at mxs because we ride, and then find that we can't even ride at all when we first try mxs.

Re: stability and suspension
thank you...so can i use a ps1 controller? i am using a pc, btw, an thank you for actually responding to my questions...on most sites, the newbies to forums get ignored without exception...would you happen to know how much the full version costs?
Re: stability and suspension
I personaly use a ps2 controller, I got an adapter for it off ebay for like five bucks. The game cost $40 if its still as much as it used to be, and its well worth it because you get constant updates and numerous skins/models without paying anything extra.
