I know there may be something on this somewhere, but I honestly didn't feel like looking through 57 pages with the word "render" in each post...

sure it is possible...applying normals depends on soft you are using...there is a thread with 3ds max and blender questions( http://mxsimulator.com/benchracing3/vie ... f=7&t=7449 ) so maybe check it, I guess someone already asked this question there or in some of the upcoming threads;)
