MX Simulator

so today i was fed up with mx vs atv alive when it sent me to lvl one so i decided to stop playing and buy mx simulator... well i purchased the game and downloaded it but when i click the shortcut it pops up with a message say mx.exe has stopped working. I own a brand new alienware m15x baught in december of this year ... it runs windows 7 and all the good stuff. i went to troubleshoot the problem and the computer says the incompatible... i find it VERY VERY VERY hard to believe that this game wont work with an Alienware gaming laptop... as far as video card goes... again i find it hard to believe that that is the problem seeing as how top of the line the computer is as well as memory available and all that good jazz... someone help... really dont want to have to pay $42 bucks to not get to play the game at all...

Alienware computers come with a DirectInput device driver that corrupts memory when MX Simulater lists the input devices. The 1.5 update will have a workaround for the problem, and there is a prerelease snapshot of that here.

so im just gonna have to wait a bit for a new update?

If you don't mind manually installing it, you can get the snapshot version of it from the following link:

Follow the link above, download mx-2011-07-27.exe and zzzvtestzz.zip, and copy mx-2011-07-27.exe to your install folder as mx.exe and extract zzzvtestzz.zip to your install folder.

I expect to release the official 1.5 version in a month or two. I'd just use the snapshot release if I were you. Even though it says it's untested, it seems to be working well for everyone.
