New tracks is something that always seems to carry more weight outdoors than it does indoors. With tracks like Glen Helen, Red Bud, Hangtown, and Southwick all being tracks that have been with this series for over 20 years, whenever we see a new track added to the schedule, it feels like we lose a piece of history. When this happens in supercross people are usually excited since this brings a new venue that gives the fans something new to look forward to. Point I am trying to make is that while we often like changes we see in supercross, changes in motocross always seem to anger or frustrate us, and I think that goes back to all the weight we put on motocross as being more of a fan experience than a purely spectator experience like the one we expect from a supercross. I always tell my friends that you go to supercross to enjoy watching the race, but you go to nationals(Red Bud in my case) to have fun getting plastered with your friends on the weekend.
While Pala wasn't really a new track per say, it was a completely new layout that had more of fun race feel than the national one I got last time I rode this track(maybe 2013 or 2014?)Nevertheless, the crew was on it this week with coverage and with JGas jumping on to help, the crew is starting to get bigger and bigger, and with over 10 members, who knows what we have planned in the future.
