Solid effort. The positioning and lighting are so accurate and fluid looking. If I was to get nit-picky, and I mean digging really super deep, the arm closest to us looks a little out of whack and folded in the elbow and the wrist/hand seems off as well but it took a long time of staring before I found that. The things you did during the render like to the pipe and back of the boot UV that don't even show really made the video worth watching just to catch small details that I would have noticed most likely had they not been done but because it looks so natural its hard to appreciate. Watching something so little being caught then looking at the image again and seeing "Oh yeah, that looks way better that way" just gives a perspective to really enjoy the render completely.
Side note. I would pay obscene amounts of money to ever see a "in-engine" version look anything like this. It may not be a gameplay footage but even just to drool over a "best case possibility" for a game I'd do a lot of dirty and inappropriate things to make sure it happens.

No where near as nice as benjiis
, but here is my whip render, btw benjii when i watched your video you used the color ramp for your spec map, then had it go into a emission node, why is that? ( also attempted to make some smoke, idk if i like how it came out )

Re: Post your render for MXS here!
The reason I used the emission was to get the raw values (not effected by shading or lighting) from the spec map then changing it with the colour ramp to get a result as close to mx simulator as possible. It should be some exact values to use for the colour ramp to translate from mx simulator/ blender internal values, but I havent expermented a lot with that might try figure that out some day. I kind a messed up some shit in the video tho. When I used the alpha to effect the hardness, I forgot to flip the black and white so whats supposed to be blurry reflections is sharp and the other way around. Technically it was a shit render but I guess most of it looks okay anyway, Always get stressed when I record and miss stupid things. And btw if you didn't notice in the video, I only used the emission while changing the values then plugged it back in the mix shader or harness value
