Open the norm in your photo editing program and invert the red and green channels.

I got inverting the norms figured out, but what exactly does it do?

Sim has inverted red and green channels for normal maps. So when you do a render you need to invert them back to have the bike look proper.

Ah ok, I inverted them I think and it doesn't look better imo. I might have to mess with my nodes more though.
