i agree with jesse, the consi race is dumb.. with 1 hour qualifying b4 the night is long enough. 450 turnout will go down

Especially with this new host, They could have used a certain Canadian that actually has experience hosting a whole series by himself.

I mean they are trying to make it where people aren't paying for nothing.... It's good that they do this, so people don't waste there money, and/or night. So hate on it if you want, but it will give people a chance to race, and learn how to race if they haven't been able to make a night show before.

I don't see chase hosting being an issue, I do worry about Damon Tavella co-hosting though. I think he can get it done, it's just I haven't raced many of his events so I don't know how smoothly things have gone with him.

I don't see a reason for that consi race still. If you aren't good enough to make the night show, they don't deserve to race. Simple as that. It has always been like that too

Chase takes this type of responsibility seriously and I have no doubt that he will act as he should as a race host, no doubt there might be some mistakes as there will be with anything that goes along with racing and this game but I'm sure the decision wasn't made because they didn't like anyone else, I'm sure it was made because he was simply in mind when the opportunity came about and had the experience required.

If you think about last year format, it was longer, so even with this 10mn consi race, it will still finish earlier than 2017.
There's literally just one race between the grab and the 1st heat, i don't think there will be anything delayed at this point.
@Jesse : Peter Leik have never been planned to be a race host
Chase have enough experience on rF to host the pro classes without problem and Damon Tavella have more experience on the EMF system than Chase.

I was talking to Ryan about the consi stuff though. You could get the better 250 and the better 450 a spot on the heats (Top 39 would qualify then). It'd make that consi race really fun to watch. Way more entretaining than it being pointless

Wouldn't it be ideal if they were to race AMs in that scenario? If your issue is just not making it through heats/LCQ that's a different deal, but if you can't get a top 40 qualifying time wouldn't it be more beneficial to step down classes and progress that way? I'm not specifically directing those thoughts to you Chase, but something for EMF to consider. If the AM turnout was weak last year would that not somewhat help the issue as well?

Sure it gives guys who paid and didnt make it a little more value, racing a pointless race..

What about the other 40 from each class who do make it? We gotta watch some guys gooning around for 10 min, and probably atleast another 10 getting it all setup/ having an extra race. Last year 450 races ended around midnight eastern time if iirc, a lot of us have work or school and have to be up by 6 am, so yeah an extra 20 min matters. Punish the pro's, and reward the spodes good job

I'm not trying to cause an uprising here, but rF ran it as close to irl as they could get. Am's were allowed to run 250 2t's because you can in Amateurs irl.

A lot of people are saying that I'm the only one complaining, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who would voice an opinion here.
