Yes and no. To just build the jumps it isn't terrible. To control speed and allow different rhythms to develop that are close in speed, not even close. Long straights and keeping huge jump lines away while still keeping realistic spacing/sizes/shapes is the enemy of any track, especially SX.AWood wrote:Isnt a straight rhythm like literally the easiest possible track you could build in sim?

I understand that. Just as far as compared to and SX or national i bet the time put in is maybe 10% the time.checkerz wrote:Yes and no. To just build the jumps it isn't terrible. Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
Probably same as an SX or less maybe. I streamed the creation of most of it and know it's well over 8 hours just on the terrain, while in the first 2 hours the base of it was built, the rest was literally testing/tweaking/tuning. The streams are too old to be on my channel now so I can't add them. But yea compared to a national or the compound I just finished it's small. Yet I did also spend way more time on this environment than most of my tracks too and it is only half done.AWood wrote:I understand that. Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
Lolz, the terrain for the straight rhythm I feel would at least be on par with an sx terrain if not longer. Like checkers said, rhythm is fucking hard. Guys just quad most of the sx sections, what do you think they'll do on a massive straight rhythm? Corners slow down sx a lot and the straight rhythm pops out 50 second times (roughly). 90-110% yes. As far as environment and decals goes well, 40% probs.AWood wrote:I understand that. Just as far as compared to and SX or national i bet the time put in is maybe 10% the time.

Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
I started building my own version the other night after some stuff started to pop up on social media and got me excited. Yes, its easy to make the jumps in 1 straight line as compared to 6 shorter straight lines with turns. But like already mentioned, holy pain in the ass making it ride right. It is making me wonder why no one in real life was stepping onto that first table after the first wall because in game I can quad over the table with ease. (wall, triple, double, double the tables, was the real life line) Overall, Id compare it to making a regular supercross track. Someone do the math on how many feet a sx track would be if it were made into a straight line? I'm sure its shorter than RBSR.

I started that a long time ago, lagged really bad. Hopefully you have better luck than me and get farther than I did with it.

Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2
Is that including the Kawasaki track? That one is near by but it's on the other side of the interstate so I could get it to fit on the map.AWood wrote:Theres 8 now. One isnt on the overlay
@barrington, so far so good. My FPS is still pegged at 124-125 with most of the natural terrain where it should be. We'll see what happens once I start building the actual tracks.
I'm on a 4096x4096 map.

I dont recall without looking. But that's a pretty large area. His pictures dont really do justice of how many elevation changes there are either. Picture 2 glen helens. Not as tall of highest elevation though. The suzuki track is up there though compared to the ktm one.Boblob801 wrote:What size terrain did you use?barrington314 wrote:I started that a long time ago, lagged really bad.
