Just found Blake Baggett and Aldon Bakers compounds on Google Earth if anyone wants a go at making them?

Baggett. SX layout looks pretty cool, crossover jump in there. Based on his instagram videos it looks like the sx layout has some elevation changes too, which you don't see very often.

28°41'55.96"N
81°55'55.93"W

Bakers Factory. Saw a video where he said his plans are for 3 sx and 2 outdoor tracks. Might be one to keep an eye on.

28°39'2.61"N
81°57'33.19"W

How sick does this layout look at Chad Reeds compound!! Has a crossover jump too. Just gonna leave this here too in case anyone wants to make it.

28°20'38.40"N
82° 9'13.13"W

I was thinking of making bakers factory but idk how to make it when there are the trees hiding some place and at least I cant figure out how to see if there is a jump covert by the trees  but maybe someone that is better then me at making tracks will get it :)

So guys here's RND 04 of The Australian MX Sim Series.
The tracks coming along nicely got a few things to adjust and tweak so to speak, and also have some statues and crap to place.
any information on the Series can be found here : http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=39167

So their have been some adjustments with the way the races will be running, Now it will be the same time on a Sunday, Now before we throw our balls in the air and stick you're fingers in you're asses, we've done this so that its possible for the other Country's USA - GBR - EURO Ect.. To make it, Now sure for USA It will be early hours of the morning but gives you a chance to come race.

Their are also new series sponsors - Myself and a few others to be confirmed.

The META Racing Holeshot Award : Will Reward each Rider with a hole shot $5.00 AUD
The META Racing Finish Award : 1st Overall in Pro Classes $10.00 AUD

For any details on wanting to sponsor the series . PM Myself or Tim and we will get it sorted, Their's still time to get you're SEMI's in so I can put them on the track.

Cheers Breezy

I was just curious if you used it for the offtrack stuff like rain ruts and stuff but normally it isn't detailed enough to look good.

Here's an example of what world machine can do, I did from a track Darr was working on. Obviously you'd mask out the track path and whatnot afterwards, but for a base texture, and smoothing the output displacement map (to decrease geometry for in game use) with a normal map created from the actual output it probably wouldn't look too bad.

It might be too much of a pain and cause fps decreases to be worth it for tracks specifically made to race on, but otherwise I think you could get some really cool results. If you ride the original Mission Valley Checkerz did you can see rain ruts and stuff, not sure if he did those by hand or this method though.
Mission Valley was all drawn in by hand.

At THQ, we'd use something very similar to what you had Nate, and then mask out the track path manually even letting some of it seep into the track in spots. For MXS, it'd probably ideal to then also blur and/or mask more the further away from the track you go. I would think creating a shading layer for a decal and/or shadows would definitely help add some nice variation to the off track. Probably have to use the same mask you used from the terrain on it to really make it work/look good.
Thanks chex! I'll have to mess around with it some more, I really want to start working on my track again, just ran out of ideas for the displacement last time .

Some good looking tracks here, I've been riding some of jgmtbike's tracks lately and they're pretty fun.

Decided to get my hands dirty again and try a big boy track from the ground up. Environment terrain is coming together nicely.
