more stuff to environment is always for good,
i like having as much realism in environment even if the track itself, was unrealistic..
they look great mace, hope you get good use with them

Looks good Mace
. I made a 4 plane tree to see how it would be versus the 2 plane trees. They are weird when you are close to them because it seems like you are always staring at the side of one of the planes, so it looks invisible. Farther away you can see them though. Not sure if it's worth using them over the regular 2 planes.
What trees are those Bryan?

Once JLV has that model to billboard thing, that last lod shouldnt be necessary.
Also, that will look bad in game with that smooth alpha gradient. You need to make it 100% alpha, or 0% alpha. Nowhere inbetween

You still need a 1 plane model for the lowest LOD. All the game does is aim it at the viewer.

No, it just points the model at the viewer when the model is more than 2^x feet from the viewer (where x is the > 3.25 angle from the statue definition). It's still rendered with the statues and is lit like a statue.

A Sx I'm currently working on... Billboards are just random paste at the moment (Will be better at full release). Disp is about 50% done... still have to add some more lines. I'll try to have a better pic up tomorrow.

getting better, try not to use just 90 and 180 degree corners. Use some angled stuff and such.

I think your 180 degree berms are too far away from the last/first jump in the straights.
SX's are tight, like ... nevermind

To-do list. Work on turn angles, and moving 180's closer. Thanks guys.

and i would think about making stuff more rounded to the ground. some stuff doesnt look as smooth as it could be. not bad looking at all so far.
