Supercross track scale
Re: Supercross track scale
This is awesome, but I do have a few problems and you can say if I'm right or wrong but a few jumps feel off. Like the finish line jump, it seems way to low it needs some more pop off the lip also the first triple keeps you to low and the landing is so pointed and steep and you always over shoot it(A steeper lip would help this) . One Rythem section has 2 jumps in it that are way to big, like way bigger then the takeoff for the triple's, that doesn't seem right to me. The Berms could be a bit higher. Besides that the track is great. 125% Scale is the best.
P.S Will these be put into the full game.

Re: Supercross track scale
They are a little shallow. That jump is around a .4 slope and I believe dirtwurx says you want .5. They might have lost a little slope when I scaled it. I'll go a little steeper on the next track.
As for that rhythm section, I wasn't sure what to do with it. The track map looked like it was pretty clearly showing those three jumps as bigger. I probably took it too literally. I'll round the last jump off a bit.
I might put it on the CD as extra but I don't plan on bundling these with the download version.

I agree, I'd prefer to make them 100% solid. However, since most SX tracks are using blocks with no collisions now I think we're in the minority.ShackAttack12 wrote:You can count me in for every race!!![]()
Just tried the prerelease. I think they need to be made a bit more harsh than that. Hitting a tough block should be a slight annoyance/hindrance, not like the Garden State Parkway slowdown bumps going into the toll plazas

Re: Supercross track scale
I think your berms could use some serious improvement for the next one.
I liked most of the jumps but there were several double doubles that I felt like I could easily quad with practice. Course maybe that's how it'll be in the real race, I dunno.
The triples didn't seem to have much pop either. I didn't especially like the decals but I really liked the roost - felt really "right".
The start straight - you might want to consider doing something to really discourage cutting thru the "S" sections by just following the start straight...

The roost needs the square look taken out of it.
I really like the jumps and berms, they have a nice feel to them. Hate that stadium colour though
Everyone should race as a real rider. I'll be Stewart or Reardon

Re: Supercross track scale
Oh man! you have to make a european version of these races hahah, or I'll just have to buy loads of redbull to stay awake and be able to go to school loljlv wrote:I'm going to do the whole series. I'm thinking 9 PM EST every Wednesday before the real race.

What are some laptimes?
I cant even do one lap without a yardsale.......are the jumps that sharp in real life?

Re: Supercross track scale
Really stoked off this, hope I can make it with school starting up.
Re: Supercross track scale
Ok, I just tried both tracks.
100%: I really liked the overal flow once you got one going, but I could almost felt like I was riding a 450. The jumps were way too easy out of corners and I barely got out of 1st gear. In real life hitting a Supercross is 2-3 pinned. Also it did not feel as wide as a real track would be, I highly doubt that you could have 3 wide on this track.
125%: Really fun and easy to keep rythem. Felt really realistic. I think this track would make better racing and it would be more enjoyable.
But I still have a few complaints, the faces of tripples are way too small. After walking a few supercross tracks the faces are tall and peaked. When riding up to them in the game, riding in first person you can clearly see over the face off the triple. Also the berms but many have already addressed this. But overall they felt really good and I am looking forward to the races.
