Re: General Help
Open timing_gates in a text editor. I use Wordpad cause it aligns all the columns nicely.
Inside it says startinggate:
The next 40 lines are the 40 starting gates, with X, Y, Z coordinates and an angled-direction in radians.
When looking at the editor in the game, X is left and right, Z is up and down. Y would be "in and out" of the screen, moving the gates up off the ground or down into the ground. If you have an understanding of radians, then getting the angle is easy. The default is 1.57 radians which points the gates toward the left of the screen. 1.57 radians is pi divided by 2, or 90 degrees. -1.57 will point to gates toward the right of the screen.
Google will convert degrees to radians for you, or simply do the math; radians=(degrees*pi/180)
I offset each gate 4 units from eachother. And 8 unts between gate 20 and 21 for the starting box.
You can use the cursor inside the editor to get your coordinates.
