converting google earth/map image into track?

was wondering if anyone knew a good way to use the picture from google earth/maps to be used as the starting base for making a track? also would there be any easy ways of getting the elevations correct?

i use photoshop and have used the in game editor years ago so bare with me i have just got back on the game so need some help
