daytona supercross

Post by dearnhardtfan7 »

i am starting a complete replica of this years daytona supercross including the NASCAR track and pitroad surrounding the supercross course and if possible (I really want to try it) even the Daytona logo in the middle of the track. if anyone can help me with how to change the color of the dirt I would greatly appreciate it. I will upload pics as my work progresses.

Open up shading.ppm and fiddle with that. To open this, you will need photoshop + the richard rosenman plugin for .ppm files

is it going to be really muddy and rutted up like what happened in the race or just a dry version?

It's really easy track to make. I make a crappy version a few weeks ago, but I didn't like it, so I got rid of it.

Check it out: google maps has the track in the satellite view. Looks like the 2007 track.

yes it is the 07 track and it looks like they were taking the track down cause it looks worn out and there are no jumps. but that is cool that it just happened to be there at that time. also i am still looking for a good track map for the 08 race so please help me keep an eye out for it.

Watch the broadcast on TV. I have it on DVR, I'm sure someone recorded the whole event.
