New Tracks

Post by Sweendoggy »

Anyone close to finishing a national track for the DRS National Series???

Let me know if you have one in the works to be released soon, or if you can make one for the series!

I'm hoping to have a bunch of newer tracks in the series

I've got 5 tracks in the works. I wouldn't count on anything though.

The Nationals would start at the very soonest on the 20th of july...but probably not until the 27th or the 3rd of august, that gives about a month in between series to get teams set up, and pick tracks, plus I want to have an "open practice" or maybe even a few of them, but those can be at old tracks...

Also, so that you have a lot of notice first, I want to rock all different/new tracks at the next supercross series, which is a ways away, but if you guys are supercross track makers, you can make one for that as well if you would like

I'm working on my Villory Hill right now, pretty much done except objects and timing gates. I need to chance the whole theme of it because FactoryBr21 didn't let me use he's fences. So maybe a month our something....

It would be sick, if someone released their track, maybe, 3 days before the race due time. So that way, we all get the same amount of practice time.

yes, thats what I am sort of thinking...So if you have a national almost done, don't release it yet please if you want to run it for DRS!!!

I may do a few other tracks, like WFO (because it's epic!)

the only drawback I have is that some people will have more time on the track then others...like the creators and testers, and me, i'll prolly want to see the tracks before I choose them...

although, I guess if you are putting in the crazy hard work to make a track you deserve an advantage on it!!!

hm...what do you guys think?

Here is what I think:

It's a good idea

Track creators are probably going to release a track when they are ready to. Track creation is a surprisingly personal and internal experience - and when someone is done with a track, it's hard to keep from releasing it.

So you might get lucky and have a track or two where the timeline just happens to work out. But I wouldn't bank on getting a whole series to go like this.
