Adding Fog

Post by Cdod119 »

How can I add things like rain, particles, or more specifically fog, to my track? Thank you

In the lighting file there's a fog parameter. Increasing the value will make it look like fog in the air. For the rain, I haven't bothered looking up how that's made.

For rain you will have to add some seq files! I have made a tutorial on how you make it or you can just download my NFMX-Mud track and take my rain and lightning there :) (as long as you give credit)

Okay, I was able to get the fog to work via just using the lighting file from the track foggy valley, but anytime I play with the numbers inside of the brackets to try and figure out what they due, the fog ]gains a painfully pink hue, and the thickness of the fog does not change. Could someone explain what each separate number does? They are formatted as follows, [X X X] X

Everything you need to know is in there young grasshopper.

Fog = [R G B] Density

So to make it more dense make the last number bigger. My guess is that you are making the first number higher, hence the pink color.
