Ah! I will do that :D Thanks for that tip!
You can also make one of the lod's a plane, jlv did it in his tree tutorial: http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic. ... 4&p=157523

Also posting these here to remind people, I totally forgot about the billboard lod and clip planes :lol:;

jlv wrote:Changes:
  • New billboard statue mode. When angle is over 3.25, the angle becomes the level of detail where the model will always face the viewer.
  • New Y aligned statue mode. When angle is less than -2*pi, the statue will be aligned with the global Y axis.

jlv wrote:Near/far plane settings
Add "near_plane 0.25" or "far_plane 5000" to the lighting file, using whatever values you want. I wouldn't set these unless you have a huge track that has a genuine need to override the defaults.

Looks awesome staydown (as usual ;)).

Please no cones. Nothing is more unrealistic on a supecross test track.

And i would go for less uniformity on your off-track dozer marks

I agree with what Awood said, instead of cones maybe white paint track lines? Not sure though, hard to say without seeing how it looks. Looks good so far though

A real test track isn't going to have anything marking it, but white chalk lines are the last thing there would ever be.

I'd say add one haybale to the center-inside edge of the turns and that's it. We should know how to navigate a SX track, let the decals do most of the work for you.

No cones on a test track. The riders typically know where to go :wink:

Agreed. Check dean wilsons Instagram 1 week ago a night video. They had banners on berms but that's a rare occurrence for that one time thing. At most one hay hay bale per corner

I don't understand why people must quote every picture.. Just say "That's amazing!!" and go on. No one wants to scroll through the same picture 8 times.

But why, most people do it because it's worthy enough to see 9 times.
