Not sure? I think the reason there were cams for Lakewood is because I made them and put them in the folder last or I am just mistaken.T_Frye127 wrote:do you know if kellen is doing the cams again before the track is released like lakewood?Racers52 wrote:Finishing up Highpoint

Interesting to hear the different ways you guys approach texturing your tracks. Race, all the rF tracks have been a big step up this year as far as visuals, great work. Jay, the AX screenshots you've been posting look sick. Are those tracks available to download anywhere? I'd love to check them out and see how "good from far" holds up in-game.
I finally had another chance to put a little time in on Monster Mountain and get the on-track decals placed:
On the bottom layer I have a 4K overlay. On top of that I have a few high-detail, low opacity, 2K decals. I hate to see obvious tiling, so I put a lot of care into hiding the fact that the same decals are repeated hundreds of times. No I've got to figure out a way to get some detail and variety off the sides of the track without having to add a too many new decals.

Dope stuff my dude! The variety thing always kills me too.ColtonD719 wrote:Monster Mountain
Like Jay said, you have to have more decals to make it really nice. You could always try to work it in on the overlay.
You said you had a 4k overlay underneath and 2k decals on top correct?
One thing you could try is have the overlay on top but have a selected area with the opacity turned down.
For example, this is the highpoint overlay finished.
You can see, I made a selection and turned the eraser brush down to 40% and erased it.
Then I would place my decals underneath and that will fill in the remaining 40%.
