Re: Track contest
What did you do to the post?
I don't see anything different.
And seriously, we need to address this:
If you have permission from someone who is not you/your team, to use their objects for the competition, you should be able to. If this is all for advancing the appeal of this game, why should we bottleneck the objects? We should all have a fair chance, everything goes, as long as permission is granted/it is public.

Your welcome.
Re: Track contest
r the ai part of r "grade"? cause im doing a "sx" and they hate it
Re: Track contest
Yeah, AI don't need to be there. But it would be a nice touch, although as you said, AI hate SX.

Re: Track contest
I've got the same problem with my track.
They run it, but my gimp'd terrain doesn't go well with them. Also, a lot of my jumps you will be crooked, nose high, and sideways in the air without a doubt, and one in particular, 3/10 times the AI wrecks hard off it.
I'd like to point this out now, just so everyone knows though:
My track isn't made for a 250F. You will need to rail berms, and really hammer on it out of corners just to get to the TOP of the landings, to actually downside them, you need to be insanely fast, or have the right suspension and gearing. There's a stepup, and with a tiddler bike, you land on a slight uphill and bounce, but on a 450, you should land on the flats and make a smooth landing. (That's the 3/10 times jump).
So, when the 450s come out, my track will be the first 'real' track for them, and it will be sweet.

Re: Track contest
thats cool, and maby you can make a track specially made for 250fs, like.. very technical with alot of trottle control
Re: Track contest
Hopefully it still scores well in the competition because 450's might be a while.Voutare wrote: My track isn't made for a 250F.

Re: Track contest
It's all still doable, it's just you need to be able to carry speed well.
I'm sure no one will have a problem with it. I can only see really slow cornerers not being able to make one jump, but other than that, there really isn't much of landings on the track. (You'll bounce on a lot of landings if you're not geared right too).
I've got a bunch of stepups onto natural landings, and other than that, there is a stepup with a landing that I bounce off of, and another that I scrub and wheelie down the landing.
The double is a pain in the ass if you try to take the inside, but if you go around the outside you'll be alright. (There's also no ruts on my track. There is 4 built berms, no ruts, but there are a lot of naturally banked corners. Don't worry though, it's going to be fun to ride.)
EDIT:
Just out of curiosity, how many of you like off cambers? I've got an offcamber on my track, following a steep downhill, and I can run it perfect, but I'm not sure how you all are going to be able to deal with it. You come 4/5th and crest a hill, and usually drag the rear over the top, and hit the front once you get onto the even downhill, and slide into the corner, and grab to go back up a little hill. It's not a 90 either, it's more like a 70.

Re: Track contest
There really not all that difficult.
Just read around the forums, and ask around, and you'll get the hang of it.
I'm still having trouble finding a decent looking texture for my track. :/
