Javascript Scoretower

Post by D_ROY178 »

I'm in the process of putting a live scoretower on a track, I've had a looked at Jlv's test track, and how the tower is two objects.

My question is can I model a completely custom tower with my own dimensions etc, or do you have to do it like the rf tower is done, with a custom base and the default live screen?

Do the dimensions matter, as long as my screen is unwrapped in a 1:2 AR?

Doing it in two parts separates the static and dynamic parts of the texture. It'd be a waste to put the static stuff in the animated texture. As far as the unwrapping goes you can do it any way you like, but 1:2 is the natural aspect ratio for the dynamic texture. So if you don't want it to look squished or stretched it'd be a good idea to stay around 1:2 but it doesn't have to be exact.
