Track Editor Help

Hi All, I am very interested in making tracks I have been making tracks for Mx vs Atv for a few years now, the only problem is I have been trying to fallow some of the tutorials on this site and they are just confusing me. I have L3DT terrain maker and I kinda know how to make terrain with it, one question can you use google terrain map for the hight map in L3DT (just as a rough start) and if so, how?? the other thing is how do you get the terrain into the MXS editor, and is there a list of hot keys for the MXS editor and how to use it, it kinda makes sense, lol. Is there a certin size that the terrain has to be to work and objects too because Im thinking of making my own objects for my tracks??

The terrain size is normally 1025x1025 but you can change it (look under the terrain.hf part): http://mxsimulator.com/benchracing3/vie ... =11&t=1134

Objects are pretty much trial and error on their sizes once you get them in game: http://mxsimulator.com/benchracing3/vie ... f=11&t=533

You will need the jm exporter for Blender to use your objects (Right click link> save link as): http://mxsimulator.com/models/jm_export.py

L3DT isn't a requirement, more of a suggestion. If you prefer to use Terragen or PhotoShop you can. I know that a Google Map can work in MXS but with your specific question I have never tried anything with it so I wouldn't know.

i was wondering how you can put grass were you want it because on the blank its just dirt in the middle and grass around the outside. i make a track but i would lik eto know how to make the grass dirt if my track is on that part and also to make the infeild of the track grass if its dirt. thanks

thx yzmxer608 the links were a great help, I was checking throughout this furom for help and never thought of checking the mxs main page, duhh, that tatorial was a great help. thx all for your help I can hopefully start my tracks soon and I will definitely be posting them once im done.
