problem with making jumps
problem with making jumps
i read the tutorial on the track editor and i followed it step by step but evertime i try to make a jump it just comes out as a giant wall thats straight up and down. what am i doing wrong???

Eeh. :/
Set your gradient, go to the edit. (Gradient Edit), then press f, (not "F"), and that will clear the graph. Then click where you want the points to be, in the shape of a jump. Use the curve/line setting to make it right, and then press linear add. Adjust your focus (.5 or .63 works best for realistic jumps), and then paint it.
Press tab a few times, and then hit it. If the jump isn't fully visible yet, press tab again to cycle back through the edit menu, and then try it.

i prefer to add my jump onto the existing gradient and use linear paint, that way the jump doesnt go all screwy if its over a hill or something.

the linear add kind of worked. well im gettin better at it anyways. but if i use the linear paint it does not work out for me at all. is there any programs i can get to make this easier?
