RIDER

Default rider model should be named:
rider_body.jm
Secondary models are called
rider_body-XXXX.jm (rider_body-DDMXV2.jm for example)

Default skins should be called:
rider_body-ZZZZ.png (Shows as ZZZZ in game) (rider_body-Fox Explosion.png for example)
Secondary model skins are called:
rider_body-XXXX-ZZZZ.png (Shows as XXXX-ZZZZ in game) (rider_body-DDMXV2-Fox Blue Pixel.png for example)

Example your JM its named " rider_body-2015 Fox Savant.jm, rider_body_fp-2015 Fox Savant.jm" your PNG is rider_body-2015 Fox Savant- Black and Red ( show as in game ) and normal map rider_body-2015 Fox Savant_norm , Spec rider_body-2015 Fox Savant_spec .

Yes that's how everything is named, that's why I'm confused. I've not had this happen before. The gear shows up fine on the model, but is lacking any normal/spec maps, so shaders aren't reacting. I'm stuck, I don't understand what I've done wrong. Any suggestions welcome.

Here's some other basic info if it helps.

Using the p2sta3 .jms
Saving the normal map from the PSD as .png, then rename it accordingly.
Same for the specular map.
Put both .jms, norm/spec .pngs and completed gear .png in same folder.
Run game...gear shows up, no shading, nor spec/normal mapping at all. Completly flat and lacking any depth/fine detail.
Cry.

Do you have "shader programs" turned on in your graphics setting in the game?

Lol of course! As I've said, I'm really confused. I feel like I missed something incredibly simple but haven't caught it yet. I tried re-saving all the .pngs in PS again and quadruple checked the naming. Everything is showing up correctly other than the detail of the shading from norms/spec. I don't get it lol. When I put a saf'd version to test, like the team split fire gear as an example, it's perfectly fine. So obviously I'm dropping the ball here somewhere. Really interesting

You have no norms applied ^

Also the Spec is the greyish one, the Purplish one is the norm

Right, I labled the pics wrong, but if you look at the pic of my folder I posted you'll see they are correct. You said I have no norms applied, looking at my folder picture how would I do that? I've made plenty of gear and skins and labled them and saved them the exact same way I have these but the norms work. Here I'm not having luck. Thanks for the reply.

Nope just a folder as of now, I was attempting to add my name to the color ways so I have not saf'd them yet. Man I'm really confused on what's going on. I feel like I'm missing something so obvious but I can't figure out what's wrong. Appreciate the replies fellas.

If it's in a folder I believe you have to name the spec and norm the same as the skin but with _norm or _ spec at the end.

An example would be
rider_body-test-1.png
rider_body-test-1_norm.png
rider_body-test-1_spec.png

Dude! You're awesome, that was it. So question then, what is an efficient way of naming/grouping lots of different colorways without having 20 norm/specs also? I know I would obviously end up safing them all into a single manageable file, but what about before that when I'm still testing out what they look like and such? Thanks again!
