Appalachian MX

Post by MorganMX124 »

Decided to give track making a try and this is my first track. I know this isn't a A grade track but i enjoy it. I learned alot the more i spent with this track which will make my next track a bit better. So if u would like to try my track out and tell me what u think then please do so. BIG thanks for ddmx for the objects and poidog88 for making the tutorial vids, wouldnt of been able to do this with out his vids so thanks again. The track is more suited for 250f's as it is not a high speed track.

No it doesn't, it looks like some random shit and the paintjob sucks ass, it isn't even painted. If you realy want to build a track you need to put energy, time and effort in it. This is just shit.
And it's more and more that tracks like these come out. What hell is happening? This game is looking more and more like Mx Vs ATV, everybody trying to build a track but don't like to work longer as 1houre on it.
How many great tracks have come out that wasn't build for a series the past 4-6 months? I think I can count them on my 1hand. And how many tracks did came out?

I'am sorry I start raging in your topic but you're the well knowed drop that make's my bucket flow over.

I know my track doesnt come anywhere close to alot of other tracks that were created but this was just my track for getting use to the track editor and I only spent a week on it, just wanted to put it on here to see what people thought of it good/bad/fun...Im expecting alot of bad feedback haha. Even though i dont have alot of time to spend on creating tracks I enjoy doing it. This track here is only around 1:00 long but I still find it fun cause it's easy and has a good flow for me. I don't plan on getting into making tracks for as I dont have the time but I will atempt to make a replica of 1 or 2 local tracks for my personal enjoyment and if they turn out ok I may post them on here for anyone to try them out.

If you're gonna bitch then why don't you go spend 4 months of your life on making a track? It's not easy to make these, I haven't even figured out how to make one after spending hours looking through tutorials. Instead you SHOULD be giving some constructive criticism on what he can do to improve.

Oh, so we're digging old posts up huh?

Well, I'm not spending that time because I've got other things to do. Other things were I do put my effort in, like hosting the EMF, together with sandbiter. I also gave trackbuilding a shot and came to a result similar as this and then I gave up. I started my last year on school, started hosting, got into a busy flow with photography... so I didn't got the time or the energy to ask others for help and spend hours finding out how things work the best.

But did you see me making a topic about it to release my shitty track? NO. Because I realized that my track just wasn't good enough to add to this game. It wasn't painted, didn't had some fun it it, was to easy, the jumps even shot you to the moon and made it nearly impossible to land ...
I understand that everybody has to start somewhere. But if you come to a result like this, just do not release it then. Everybody knows that tracks like these won't ever be used, riddin or even downloaded.

A track like this obviously didn't got much energy/time. Look at the RES Axel replica. It took a long time till it was released, but Slim_T took his time, energy and asked other track builders how to make stuff. His track wasn't the greatest track of all, but it was painted, it had ruts, it was a good replica, it had objects and had a certain fun factor.
And yes, that was his very first track he builded.
So where there is a will there is a way. If you realy want to make a decent track, then you can do it, with help of others and some time and energy. But tracks like these were never ment to be great tracks.
