Was the first section changed? I haven't had the chance to download and ride it, but it looks like the first section has three rollers and then goes 3-3-2, when the render showed two rollers and 2-3-2. Not a big deal, it's just eating at me

I feel like the shadows are off a bit, but whatever.

From what i see work has been made on the scale. It looks like jumps are closer together. Problem seems to be that they are too big, it seems like they do not fit with the new spacing. I stopped between two jump in the first section. The higher part of some jumps are higher than the rider himself when he is up on the bike. Too big, IMO.

I don't know if it's for real or if it's just a feeling because of how the jumps are made, but i feel like JLV' jumps are a little smaller. Don't know about the rest of the track (width and length) as it is harder to compare. It is hard to explain how i feel about this but as some of the track makers said you used the 1:25 scale all year, i believe it all depends on the jumps as it is the other major variable.

Now that I know where to look... lol. Thanks for clearing that up. I got way too curious and couldn't handle it anymore. Time to give it a few lapscheckerz wrote:You're right.

I never complained about tracks being to big, I honestly loved the triples at Oakland when most people were bitching that they were to big and unrealistic. But I do agree this track is kinda tight. I hit the triples in 1st gear and over shoot the finish in 1st gear with -2 -2 gearing (on a 450). I also think the first section is really steep almost like the diving in and out of the water like a dolphin. Other then that the track is great I love the traction and the whoops. Keep up the good guys

Jumps are scaled to 1.2 height and distance. That means 3 foot jumps are 3.6 ft in game, 5 foot jumps are 6 foot in game, etc.Lo2Rider wrote:From what i see work has been made on the scale. Yes, distance is strictly at 1.2 scale between jumps.
Width is at 1.2 scale based on a 22.5 track width. JLV's were based in the past off a 25 foot width, while real SX is 20 feet wide. (So we went right down the middle on that).
Previous rounds were a bit off on scale because we were scaling the maps proportionately based on width which was causing jump distances to be extremely off. This time we've scaled off the jump distances and put the widths where they needed to be. It's a bit trickier, but IMO it makes a better product.
The width matches last weeks width by the way. Jump heights are pretty close as well. Spacing is really the biggest shift.

I like the track, its fun and it has some good rythems on it which are very nice flowing. The only thing I would change is I would make it a bit wider, seems a little thin, makes it easy to fly right into the tuffblocks when you make slight mistakes. Other than that, great work! Thanks guys.

Track is tight and technical. I like it! The whoops before the finish always fuck me over though haha

That first section really requires some technique. I'm finding it really hard to tire tap the rollers like I'm used to, like with Toronto, and that makes it so that I'm not set up to triple in. Though, I feel like if I could triple in, the quad wouldn't be too much of a stretch. This track is really nicely put together, though it does require a little more performance from your computer to run smoothly. Thanks guys!

What was the base for JLV's scale ?checkerz wrote:Jumps are scaled to 1.2 height and distance. Distance between jumps seems to be close from distances used on JLV's tracks, it is just jumps that look bigger. But if you say that the scale is the same for distance and height of the jumps... I don't know where does this feeling come from.
Track width is not a big deal for me. I kind of like the idea to use a 22,5 track width. Make it harder to jump big triple out of a turn and so make a track more technical.
