I personally like when tracks are wide like this, more passing opportunity and easier to pass lappers. Plus your not jumping off the track on the jumps out of corners for amateurs like me.

Don't like at all how the tracks are developping now. On this one, I feel like a Play Mobil or a Micro Machine in the real world. Track is so big that it is becoming ridiculous.

I really don't understand why 2014 tracks makers wanted to change scale so bad. JLV made a really good job about this. Improvements could have been done for sure, but not mainly on the scale. Changing it all was a mistake, IMO.
I understand that you wanted to build your own thing. But when something is good it is not a shame to use it as a basis for your work.

I remember several topics before where guys were asking for a total 1:1 scale because JLV tracks were already too big, and you are doing the opposite by making even bigger track.

Last tracks tend to look like "standards" tracks, MX vs ATV users friendly. This is not the way a would like this game to developps, and hope it won't be the same next year. There is other games for this kind of track that already exist.

I do not criticize your skills (you all proved you have talent), just the way you use them.

.
The 2 or 3 tracks before this one were of smaller scale than JLVs. So nothing is "developing" in any certain way. I personally love the smaller more realistic scale. But I got veto'd when I made a track like that after we had tested it, for various reasons. One of which is the amount of pile ups there are. Hopefully I find some time to release some of these tracks built to 1:1. Vegas 1:1 is done, just needs decals and statues placed. I actually have a version of vegas 3/4 of the way done built like JLV style too. I think thatll be cool to let everyone try different styles of the same track layout.
JLV set a high standard for consistency with his tracks. No matter who makes the tracks next year, it would be ideal for only 1 person to do all 17 height maps. Its alot of work though and thats part of the reason it was broken up between 3 or 4 people this year. But that for sure killed the consistency.

JLV used 1:1 scale for his jump. Sorry, but I doubt that previous track used a lower scale than that for jumps, that would result in more little jumps than they are, IRL ?
Maybe for spacing, 1,2:1 for previous tracks when JLV used 1,25:1.

You're absolutly right.

Fair enought. It is a job for JLV, not for you. Therefore, time spend on the development can't be the same.

You are right. Sorry for the confusion. The tracks I'm referring to used a smaller width and smaller gap size.
I guess if you want to talk "replica", nothing has been a true replica to date, IMO. That goes for JLVs tracks or this years tracks.

Yep.
As far as I know, I just remember someone releasing 2 or 3 JLV's tracks resized. Can't remember if it was 2012 or 2013 tracks.

The physics of this game do not allow for true replicas to be raced properly. I thought we've all come to this conclusion?

I'm OK with that. Never been a fan of the real 1:1 scale. The problem is that the lower the speed is, the harder it is to ride. Harder than IRL, IMO. That why JLV scales is good, it allow to ride 1:1 scaled jump and the bigger spacing compensate the lack of stability and also compensate the fact that you don't ride ingame like you ride IRL.

However, some jumps seemed harder on JLV's tracks than IRL. It's is a hard balance to find.
Using 1:1 scale for jumps and navigate between 1:1 and 1,25:1 for spacing would allow to find a good compromise, but it takes time...

The layout is good but I think that landings in rythim sections are too steep and there shoud be a better traction. Anyway thak you for the work you put in these tracks :)
