The Spinelli Lawn Care criticism is back.
Honestly..i had no problems with barringtons version, i thought it was fine and thought the bumps before the lips in the first section made it cool because i would wheelie over them and feel boss
Checkerez version is good too, i think it is def. more geared towards the slower riders who were having trouble with the sections he changed but it was still fun.
I think both are good and honestly think either one would be good to race on.

Re: 2015 MotoOption Supercross by Fly Rd 14 - Houston
I havent had any sim time since Wednesday at all. I dont even have half of Santa Clara done yet.
I only loaded up what checkerz did to see how the first section was. Which I liked alot. Wish either A. He talked to me about it before Monday evening or B. I knew Jay was going to need more time on decals. I was expecting the track to have to be released and just didnt care to mess with it any more. Something you guys probably dont think about is that I probably have more time in placing bales, timing gates, starting gates, flagger file, any other file crap like this tracks sequencing bale stuff than I do actually making the terrain. Once I have all that done, especially now being 14 rounds in, I just dont have enough motivation to change anything. I really wanted to have Santa Clara done tonight and have Checkerz try and give me some ideas by tomorrow night because he does have good ideas and can translate them to me better than anyone else that I could have beta test it. IMO.

You say that you don't have enough time but, I feel you would be helping yourself out. You had to spend more time on the little bump before the section to hopefully make sure that it worked correctly.barrington314 wrote:I havent had any sim time since Wednesday at all. I rode both versions now, don't take this as a bash but as constructive criticism. If these changes were applied we could make good tracks even better to race. I feel like the transitions make Chris' track that much more consistent and fun to put laps in on. It isn't fun or realistic having your suspension kick in every direction inconsistently because the transitions are square edged, we cannot load our suspension to get rid of the kick so the transitions need to be perfect. I don't like the two singles that were added to the first rhythm, I know it was done to get rid of the quad in but I would much rather have a quad in vs a section that is inconsistent to jump out of onto a flat section. Overall I appreciate the work that is put in for sure, if these changes were made I feel the racing would be that much better not just for slow people but everyone.

Not at all. I just think it would be worth a shot on upcoming tracks.barrington314 wrote:I hope you guys dont think Chris gave me these changes and I said no. That is not the case.

You are saying that you wont have time to do it checkerz's way. But you made it harder on yourself by adding bumps to the rhythm. The blue prints didn't have those bumps. That's what I mean by it would be easier on yourself, you are trying make the section a harder to triple or quad in whatever. But on checkerz version, he didn't have those bumps and we couldn't quad in either way.

Other than if Stephen had done it the Chex way, those bumps were needed anyway. As much as I say I love seeing people hit huge unrealistic lines, quadding into those sections just seems boring. I can do it on Chex version, after lap 1, but I choose not to because I have no fun. I do think the small berm should have been there. I like those

Guys, please.
I didn't do this to give you a reason to attack Barrington. I did it to try and offer actual solutions vs. just a theory on how to fix things.
While Stephen added bumps, I ramped out a face and added a berm. With a bit more time/testing, I could have ramped the face a tad on the entrance to make sure you couldn't quad. Since that section in general was just a "one time" deal, I offered a quick solution and focused more on the transitions and other stuff that appears on each track.
Also, keep in mind. 99% of that track is still Stephen's, so that means he built a good track.
Let's keep it constructive.

making sx disp maps is the easiest thing out of the whole track, i don't see how you think he is hurting himself by adding small things to kill lines...it makes no sense...
