Do you have plans on making more mxv replicas?
I plan on doing the rest of the mini tracks, then a replica sandtrack I live close to. However, other than the mini tracks I really don't have any motivation to do other mxvatv replicas
AWood wrote:The track is fun and well made except for the choppy berms. i just don't understand how you can make such a fun track and put such bad traction on it.
I tried thinking about the traction in terms of how it was in alive: sticky and loamy. Then again, Ive never been too good at replicating traction. As for the berms being choppy it bugs me but its hard to tell if its because of the traction, or that the berms need to be smoothed, or a combo of the two. I can always update the traction and smooth the berms and upload in a new link, but I don't know what I would do differently with the traction. If you or anybody else wants to take a stab at better traction to make it ride better then im all for it
its best to just take another traction from a similar feel track. choppyness could be since its on a huge map and such a small spot. unless its 2049 because then it should be good. its not bad i just dont like looping out exiting berms or on the right hand 90 going across the finish landing

Suggestion to help with what has already been discussed.
Open the terrain.hf in notepad ++. The second number, which you have as a 2 right now is the scale. You could have built this track on a 0.5 for sure. Supercross is built on 0.625 and thats building them 25% larger than real life scale, just as an example. You cant really do it now that you have it built. Thats something you need to plan for before you start building. Just a tip for the future. :wink:

Just to be clear, if I set that second number to .5 or higher, it will help with the berms being jagged and rough? I always thought that it didn't matter, but it makes more sense now...

It's how many feet ingame 1px should be, if I'm not mistaking. So 5 would be 1px -> 5ft ingame. 0.25 would be 1px -> 0.25ft ingame.

At the moment, I just want to do the mini tracks. But if someone wants to do a collaborative effort, Im down for that. Reason being is I take forever to make a track that someone else could make in half the time, so 2 people should cut the time in half, theoretically

Going off what barrington was saying, your scale is 2. this stretches the terrain and makes small details more jagged. For a small track like this drop it to .5 or even lower depending on the track.

I'll adjust the next 3 mini tracks to a smaller scale, but would it be worth it to go back and smooth the berms on this one?

So I was going to keep this a secret until I finished, but please just keep clear of untamed, I am balls deep in a pack that is taking a lot of effort. I have a lot more done but i am unhappy with how these tracks are layed out so I will redo these, hence why I'm showing you

I love the traction, thanks for the track!
I don't have a picture in my signature because I'm too lazy to figure it out.

Back in the day I used to run I think around 17 seconds a lap here on alive.

Decided to have a crack at the sim re make. Best I could do.

I'm really liking this track tbh, It's actually pretty similar to alive. Good job man!
