Re: BCMX: EL CHUBA CABRA
It's a fun track, but I couldn't even load into it in single player without dropping my ground texture settings super low, and the track looks really really bad at that point.
I went in and resized the overlay to 2048x2048 and the overlay norm to 1024x1024 and my experience is a lot better.
Do all decals need to be sized at powers of 2? The overlay norm was originally 2049x2049 and I wonder if that was causing issues.

Race is the nan fkr that question. I dont think they have to be but i guess with the terrain being 2048 it just makes sense to do it to the power of 2. As it works fine for myseld and others.KTM57 wrote:It's a fun track, but I couldn't even load into it in single player without dropping my ground texture settings super low, and the track looks really really bad at that point.I went in and resized the overlay to 2048x2048 and the overlay norm to 1024x1024 and my experience is a lot better.

Re: BCMX: EL CHUBA CABRA
Time to upgrade that GPU August
I’ve just always used powers of two, I’ve never really seen anything else? And yeah I guess two versions would have been nice, a 4k version and a 2k but you do lose a lot of detail downscaling overlays by 50%.

Re: BCMX: EL CHUBA CABRA
I am actually running a fairly solid GPU (970 4gb), which is why I was thrown off that I couldn't even load the track in single player — it hardly even has statues! I was not running low graphics, but they certainly weren't maxed out either. I haven't run out of virtual memory under any circumstance for years.

Its possible I fucked up the compression settings when saving the overlays.KTM57 wrote:I am actually running a fairly solid GPU (970 4gb), which is why I was thrown off that I couldn't even load the track in single player — it hardly even has statues! I can try to re-save them if anyone else runs into similar issues
