If I were to run a paid event I would give people that didn't make it into the main race (brackets for SR) a 50% refund. The 50% that you don't refund should go into prizes along with money from the people that did make it.

Do you get your money back if you suck at a race in real life?

Geez I thought $5 was cheap considering all the work it took and everything that went in.

I give this game another 6 months before the important people that make this community keep rolling all quit.

Making me look terrible. Honestly if i knew the money went to hookers and coke i would hook you up with $20 and a local dealer. hahaha

whatever just wish we had better setup for paid races. also butthurt you said hi to dmills but didnt take 30 seconds out of your day to actually introduce yourself and talk to us for a second at monster cup instead of just walking past
I love when people make comments like these. It works both ways. Why didn't you introduce yourself if talking to Chris was this important to you?

I just read the thread today for the first time and all I will say is this. There will never be a solution that makes everyone happy, but from what I can see the vast majority don't have major issues. AWood, I would say you should be constructive with your opinions and try and help out, but then I remember most people won't want to work with you anyhow. That and the fact that you will just spin and deflect it into not being worth your time so you can go back to bitching about everyone else's efforts.

Not sure if you saw this in the other thread.
I was there working at the race and on top of my normal RT stuff I was pretending to be a mechanic for a friend. So I was probably headed somewhere with my mind elsewhere. I don't recall seeing dmills which is weird how you described it because I don't at all remember it. And I was sober lol! I definitely would've stopped to talk to dmills. I'm bummed I didn't get to talk to him at Lorettas this year and think he's badass. Sorry man didn't mean to hurt your feelings it wasn't intentional at all. If I would've seen you up top I would've bought you a beer and chatted while you enjoyed it.

I'm not that awesome anyways honestly. Not sure why you'd care so much to talk to me haha. And no worries bout the race, you stated before you weren't doing it and that's all good. I understand not everyone is going to want to. I have no hard feelings for dudes that don't want to race.
Sorry dude, I seriously was clearly in la-la land with something else on my mind. Dmills is pretty hard to miss being as gorgeous as his 8ft tall ass is and pretty sure I would've recognized you from the 10 seconds at A1 when I met you. Not saying you're wrong, just no clue. Wasn't on purpose.

I crash with just overjumping or coming up short a tiny bit.. It's only on this track no problems with any other SX type track so can somebody tell me what to change in my setup?

There's a thing called respect, which Chris has shown more than once that he absolutely deserves. Even if I disagreed with pay to race (which I am totally neutral on, I don't support it, but I won't gripe at Checkerz or Byron for making some change at what really grows this game), I would not host a race on this track out of respect for the man who made it.
Grows this game? Have you seen the shit signups for both events? CHECKER$ made a lot of money but with a very small amount. Byron Promised a pro payback and thats worth paying for, its not like you have anything to lose, only to gain. Thats the real change we want. And we dont want a permanent change just adds a little excitement and incentive to do well at your favorite events. People who run them just need to find the balance between a fee with the most signups and what people are willing to pay. You can pay $10 and get 40 signups with$400 pool, whereas you may have and event with a $3 entry fee but 150 riders that brings $450. You could also have it to where $2 of the 3 goes to the pool and $1 goes to cover the paypal fee and the host/creators. The same amount will still be up for grabs but with more competition and less overhead required to enter. Win Win. I lost a lot of respect after the way this event was handled and the shape of the track IMO being one of his worst ever made whereas he is normally what i would say the 2nd best track creator in this game. You got your money you cant limit people to not run organized events til the 1st of the year. How about til the day after your event is ran.
Lost a lot of respect? What are you? Are you like the god of the mx community that everyone should please?
You should feel lucky that this game is all but 1-2 races free. This game is constently getting better and I don't fucking know another game that put as much effort in it for free as this one.
Just imagine if checkerz, pama, barrington, haqqvist, etc were not there. There will be pretty much no release anymore... So keep your fucking mouth shut next time a volunteer asks you 15$.
