Augustine Valley

Post by KTM57 »

Deep in the rolling hills of Texas, you come upon a terrain that very distinctly resembles the stock brown gradient in Photoshop. You find that several MX teams have sponsored a racing event at...

Augustine Valley MX
Now that the secret, invite-only race is over, the gates have been opened and the track has been left in the condition that it was after the racing, so there are gnarly ruts in all of the valleys and before the jumps! Have fun on this fast-paced, racing-inspired circuit.
-----------------------------------------------------
I've included the race version that went out privately for PMS and a rutted version with more ruts by T-RIDER, which I had to leave out because they are too gnarly for racing.

Thanks to:
Checkerz/Whoever made the finish line structure on Mission Valley - I used your skin as a base and obviously your .jm
yamirider517 - Making the Augustine Valley banner and hooking me up with the .jm and .psd for it!
Kawasakis - FSK van and FSK design on banners/overhead structure
Motoboss/whoever made the JS7 Compound textures - I used your clay and field textures
T-RIDER - YOU DA MAN, KEV! - Ruts, whooped out sand, beta
Mediocre Mark - Knocking some sense into me about the scale, support, beta
yFMX - Van model and skin (Thanks for sending that to me a while back!)
Grizz/whoever he got it from and gave him permission to let me use it - Semi model and skin
DJ - Rhinoblaster (converted it to a track model)
Dianna Dahlgren xFire crew - beta back when it was just a 30 minute track!
ddmx - Start gate tutorial
Tyler Crain - teaching me how to click and drag to paint decals
MxRyan195 - hating this track, always wanting to go ride Tony's track
Whataburger and Dr Pepper- Fueling my body while working on this track
Anyone I forgot!
-----------------------------------------------------
Note - If you got this for PMS, go ahead and download it again if you want the rutted version!

the rutted version couldv used more ruts and some braking bumbs i dont know why u made the track so clean its like a raceway could be me but its just not my thing also im not a track maker so dont take my opinion so hard :) the track did flow good but some of the jumps were kinda hard to do on a 125 lol but other than that good work it should provide some good racing would like to see more sand bcus the sand felt realy good.

The rutted version wasn't really something planned, I had just taken out the ruts for the race because I felt they made it too difficult. The jumps are hard on a 125, but they are all possible. Swing the sand as wide as possible, lean back, and don't bog on the exit! Only the ones after the sand are actually hard to clear. The sand is DJ's, forgot to thank him! It's his heavy sand traction and the dirt traction also used his light sand/loam as a base, but I lowered the friction and resistance a touch.

Glad you guys enjoy it!

Track is perfect ktm has a nice flow to it. And for the haters yes the layout may be simple but no track needs over done and to cap it off im sure whether it was a simple disp. maps or insane detailed disp. maps you couldn't do either of them
