Niklas Sandbox MX - most realistic track ever

Hi there, this is my special new track.
So why is it special? Because this track was
originally built in a real sandbox in the playground near to my home. I used the tiny game dirt bikes, which can be bought on every GP or AMA race, to make roots etc. into the sand.
Then I
scanned the track with the use of photogrammetry (Agisoft Photoscan) into 3D, and put everything together in mx simulator. Thats why it is the
most realsitic track ever

Note: You have to put all 4 files from the .rar into your
main mx simulator directory. Because the ground texture is very big, you may will have the error: "Out of virtual memory". Try to run the track with compatibility settings, and it should work. If this doesn't help, you have to download this low res ground texture image. Copy and paste it into the main directory and replace the image "texturv2.png" with it.

Niklas Sandbox MX track is very short, because this track is moreover a test. If you guys like it, I will make a whole national or supercross track, maybe with a smooth version and one after race

.
This are the compability settings which are working for me:

Yes, first I wanted to delete them some how, but then I thought it would be funny, like if a monster was in the track

Did you try the low res ground texture? and did you play with compability graphics settings?

Very cool to ride, but too short lol. Make a national with some jump, up and downhill if you can, i think it can be really fun! Good works

yeah that fixed it, don't understand why i can't run it on my normal settings

Thats because the ground texture is one 8k .png image. I just used one decal over the whole track. Other tracks are made from several tiny decals, which are repeated all over the track.
But I wanted to have a reel texture, and reel textures dont repeat.

Why not divide the 8k .png image on more little image?

I didn't tested this out yet, but I think it douesn't matters, if mx simulator has to load one 8k image, or four 4k images.
I will test this on my next track, which is going to be way longer

. So i really have to think about some performance issues...

One hell of an idea. I used to do this so much as a kid and to see the tech spin on it is crazy. I had a sandbox and a "mountain" of dirt, the sandbox was always SX and the mountain always had replica MX's. One time I felt like I nail'd Glen Helen.
This is some real Microsoft Hololense shit right here. Cool idea, haven't ridden it myself so can't say anything about execution but, I like it.
