It's a game. If you want a perfect 1:1 scale then ask Jay to make it. Ily Jay <3Rayvenator wrote: If that is the case the scale is really messed up. Track in game is probably 3 times as wide and wfo 90% of the track.
Also what's up with the off-track decals?

I'm very aware but it was my impression that replica tracks usually had like 1:10 - 1:25 scale to feel good.T_Althaus921 wrote:

Your tracks are 1000 times better than mines so I'm no one to teach you anything xDDVUSTTOS wrote:I expected bigger things from you... dissapointed with this track

Anyway, I found some big problems... I'm pretty sure you can fix it for the 2nd round

Re: 2016 Australian Motocross Nationals RND 1
I personally think the track rides fine. I'm just not a fan of the mini berms that are suppose to be ruts. There's always room for improvement, but overall, the track isn't bad.
The environment, on the hand, is quite disappointing. A simple grass decal isn't going to murder someone's computer, and even if you were worried about that, you can lower the resolution of the decal. Either way, it would have looked better than the ashy overlay. And based off the video you posted, the environment is really bland. It would have been nice to have at least a high res version of the track that was a bit more alive. And then if you were worried about people's computers, you could have the medium and low res versions that have less objects.
Of course the 1st round isn't going to be perfect, but hopefully you can learn from people's critiques to make the next round even better.

Never done decals before but I tried. At least you won't be blind now.

Thanks one4, that's an real improvement. Feels more like a race track environment now. Realism of these replicas are important i think if they are to be keepers as expectations are high. Track options for lower and higher end comps would be ideal. I'll be at the Horsham round this weekend, last time was about 10 years ago.

Well if you want full environments, pay race entries, i'm not interested in making the tracks look visually good, it wasn't my job at first, someone else said they'd do but they pulled out last minute, if don't like it don't race it. No one is forcing you...

I feel if you are going to make a track for what seemed to be a well established series you should have gave a little more effort into the environment of the track to represent your work in the best way possible, also not throwing the blame on someone else for your fault. People want to feel like they are actually riding Horsham not riding a winter wonderland with some dirt carved out of the snow, just my opinion though, of course. I like the way the track rides, it should race well. I, as well as others just wish you out forth more effort into your environment.
