There's 12,000 members on this community. Someone makes a different website, where you have to register to get content that you can't get on the original community website. The original website has the exact same content capabilities. I fail to see how that is "expansion".

dumbass. if you use more than one social media forum than you are contradicting your self right now. i bet you use both redtube and pornhub as well.dearnhardtfan7 wrote:There's 12,000 members on this community. If you cant see the benefits of being able to upload files and pictures directly to the site then I honestly don't know what to say to you... More websites hosting races means more competition. More forums means more competition. more competition yields a better product for the consumer. Idk I'm just some lonely track maker that needs to get a job and doesn't go to school.dearnhardtfan7 wrote:There's 12,000 members on this community. Haha thanks for the personal attack. That's real nice of you.
So you think if a Facebook clone was made, it would be beneficial to join it and browse the original as well? If so that's fine. That's your opinion. But confusing "multiple options" with "expansion" is the whole point here

I didn't say anything about you needing to get a job or go to school. I didn't mention your personal life because I have no clue what goes on in your personal life. I actually complimented your track based on the preview pics you posted here.jgmtbike wrote:If you cant see the benefits of being able to upload files and pictures directly to the site then I honestly don't know what to say to you... There is no "consumer" in the traditional sense here. There is no incentive for a person to upload their creation on this website versus another one. Therefore, that "competition" is doing literally nothing to further this community.

Bottom line:
1 minute for you guys to sign up and download the track>the countless hours I've spent making tracks for all of you
PS: Anyone actually download the track? What do you guys think?

Re: JGMX: Milfville
I'm just saying, when you spend all of that time on the track, why upload it to a site that wants to maintain the exclusivity of that creation? Why not spread it to as many people as possible? That would be the true definition of helping the community grow. I haven't downloaded the track. It does look very good in the pics, and I consistently spin countless laps on your tracks. I won't download it from a link that you didn't explicitly give out, yourself.
Look, my only recommendation from this, is if you want to upload your creation to another site, then by all means do it. It's your creation. But upload it to a site like mediafire or Dropbox as well, so that it can be posted in multiple locations to be shared by the most people possible.
In all honesty, if he doesn't keep that site maintained, that link would become invalid and then your creation is no longer able to be accessed by new people.

I've already said that it's just a track. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. I've just got an interest in this game staying around and continuing to grow. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just trying to point out that making content exclusive to one site isn't the way to go about growing things.
