MX stories

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Just because he's pro doesn't mean he's as fast as bubba. no offence.

Oh, I know.

He raced with Bubba in the Loretta Lynn qualifiers, and got his ass handed to him.

He qualified 2nd to last with only 2nd gear working on his bike. That was the second moto. For the first he got 10th or 11th. Not sure.

EDIT:

And that wasn't really my point. Bubba would try just about anything, I'm saying that he was doing it also.

Woo! BMX story.

So, I found this jump and I'm like "I can do it." It was like, 10-12 foot dirt hit.

So, I rolled it once, went back up and launched it. I wrecked.

So, I apparently got knocked out, and I got my 3rd concussion in 2 1/2 years. Woo. I couldn't remember 2 hours before the wreck, and I still can't remember my ride back the house on the golfcart. (Yes, we have golfcarts in Vermont.)

holy shit my best one is I came around a right hand turn and onto a 50ft table I was right behind this dude and I wanted to pass him. Ofcourse the next jump was a 60 foot double I've never done before. I came off the jump 4th gear pinned and over jumped it by about 10ft. I was straight up and down when I landed and I was practically sitting on the gas tank while landing on my fender. I won tho

I got one. First race ever was Saturday at Warrior Mx. Slight changes to the track. The kicker before the big table is gone and the table comes back towards the turn about 8 feet. The A class guys were tripling the table. I came down the straightaway and made 2 passes to get to fourth. Over the hump and through the lefthand 180. Jumped the first double for the first time ever. Jumped the second and into the righthand 180 workin on third. At this point I was feelin real good! Decided I would triple the table. Never done it before....and still haven't. Third gear out of the corner and I should have grabbed fourth but I didn't. Gave the throttle that last little kick on the face and the bike went straight up and back end went left and right foot came off the peg. I landed on the topmost section of the table and landed so straight up and down that I now need a new rear fender. Bike snapped forward which twisted my wrist and opened up the throttle and threw me and the bike into a barrel roll off the table. Next thing I remember I was sitting on my knees with the EMT holding my shoulders asking if I was ok. I was told that I landed on my left side almost in a superman still holding the bars. No injuries! I got back on the bike and rode to the pit area. Bike was unharmed. Only thing that broke was my visor. So I would like to hear about everyone else's first real crash.

I got one... first race, I was 8 years old. I was hyped up and scarred shitless with almost of full gate of kx 60's. All nerved up I dumped the clutch when the gate dropped and wheelied for about 8-10 feet while at the same time the kid next to me was doing the same thing.... then we collided. I was on the ground and I can remember my right arm feeling numb. I looked up and saw that my arm was cought in the other kids bike. My forarm was wedged inbewteen the knobs on the back tire and the swingarm, totally crushing my arm with my finders about an 1/8th of an inch front the front sprocket. To make along story short I layed there almost in shock for 25 mins while everyone was trying to get the kids back wheel off the bike to free me. When the pressure was releved from the wheel being removed is when the pain really kicked in. Got a way with only a broken finger and a dent/nasty brusie on my forarm that lasted a month. Hell of a first race huh..

Hah. I've never had a really bad crash like that (I'm a pretty skilled crasher. Only do it when it doesn't hurt. :D). Worst that has happened to me was on this jump:

It's 4th gear on my 125, and I went to ride right after taking a water break. And I forgot to turn my gas line back on. So, I was going at the jump and my bike started to bog as I came off it, stalled in the air, front end dropped in the middle of the whip-ish thingy. (Can't really whip it off of it, it's too damn big. :D), and the wind blew me over, and when I landed, I came up a little short, bounced, and had the scariest swap I have ever had.

After that I was like "Woah. I guess I'll never forget to check my gas line again."

ok so just about a month ago

i was racing at glen helen for the fire police mx nats

and it was the second day moto 1

lap 2

so i come out of talladaga in like 4th ?

maybe anyway i came down and they redid the track in a diff layout than the ama nats

so theres a sharp right at the bottom of talladaga and like a single downhill thing into a sharp left and like a weird double thing that nobody doubled everyone just singled it

but i come off the downhill single and into the very inside rut (its all sand) and i hook it and my back tire pushes the sand back and i swap left and right for a second

by this time i got all of 8th-24th place behind me and im bouncing left and right and hit the first little single before the next uphill part

and a few bike clip me and stuff

its really tight there, then this faggot on a 450 takes out my front tire and the guy after him totally lays his big ass thumper right ontop of my pipe with my arm through his spring and the plastic plate before the swingarm

yea it sucked

That's nothin, about a month ago, I was screwen around out at a sand dune. well, I was rounding a turn next to a bush that shot me back toward the dune, and I got t-boned by a hyndai sonata.

then a couple weeks ago, I was riding around a track designed to help with whoops and sand/bowl turns. well, I had just come out of the turn, and then rode the whoops to the top of a hill, and started to go down, when I had to lay my bike down so I wouldn't hit some dumass kid that decided to go ride across the track.
