I just played a bunch of reflex last night, and the rider looks wayyyyy better on the bike in reflex, and the bikes are way better looking too. they have all the knobbies on the tires too. I wish they would fix alot of stuff in Reflex, but this looks a huge step backwards in a lot of areas. I like the idea of not crashing everytime you bump someone, but you could have just added that to reflex.

I think the only reason people click the "like" button is because it is something new to see. It's great that THQ is releasing the teaser video's because they are at least letting us know its not worth getting all pumped on. In all honesty can you sit there and say the physics of this game look good? I understand its always great to see a new MX game on the market, and no I could not build a better game but you would think with the feedback THQ got from reflex that they would have known what the customers were looking for. Instead THQ will end up dropping the price of the game in the first 3 months to hopefully break even. @Clint - To answer your question. I played the demo at Dallas, and the physics of the game seemed fine to me. The bike was not sliding around really bad like Reflex, it seemed more smooth when the tires were on the ground.
However, to be "fair" I did mention in my thoughts on the demo that I didn't like the hand gestures and the rider posture did not stand out to me as much as it does when watching a video of another person playing. Im not sure if it's just the person playing the game in these demos that makes the rider look that way or what? I sent an email to Elliot asking him about both the hand gestures and the rider form, and he said "the gestures are apart of the game, but don't happend very often(notice you didn't see them in this video?). As for the rider form he said "people playing the games are not pros like a lot of fast kids online, so they don't know how to use the reflex stick very well which is making the rider look that way".....Take that for what it's worth.

THQ isn't known to go backwards with their motocross games, no, but they're also not known for going much forward with them either. Reflex was the BIGGEST advance they've ever done and it was definitely in the right direction, if they would of built ontop of that they would of had a killer game. Instead, they went an entire new direction because Reflex was 'too hard' for the general player - but yet they'll tell you this is the most spot on to realistic motocross game they've made yet. That's the furthest from true, because they scaled the tracks down doesn't make it any more to real to life. Good physics on over-scaled tracks is way more realistic than absolute crud physics on scaled down tracks, and that's what's been done with Alive. All they needed to do was keep what they had, fine tune it, re-do the entire deformation system like they've done with Alive - an the game would of been killer. They're marketing towards a Pure type of audience.
By the way, the guy behind the sticks in this video IS A THQ DEVELOPER - that's THQ_CHECKERZ right there. So no, it's not some bum who doesn't know how to play the game. If somebody who was in the development process of the game can't make it look good while playing, nobody can.

Hey Clint, it is me again, as I said before I don´t wanna talk bad of this people, I really like what they are trying to do, I love the sport, I love their games, I love Reflex,(even if the online gaming and the whole interface of the game is the worst and unstable I have played)but I really like the game, my point is that they should notice, that the most of the people=gamers are not happy with the product, you as a gamer know when a game is gonna be good, and even more if it is a game about something you have done and follow your whole life.
MY POINT: I would like to see a great game even if I have to wait more time and pay more money.After seeing all these videos I think people would be happier if they just fixed the online problems on reflex.

Game honestly doesnt look THAT bad. Almost every comment is about rider positioning. If they just fix the rider positioning before the release and the game wont be that bad.... if we saw a little more rider movement we all would have thought the game looked alot better. Make the rider a little smaller as well.
