I'm going to get a book with my $20 Barnes and Noble gift card. I don't know what I should get though, thinking about this.

I'm getting a book because we have proficiencies next week, and since I'm not retarded it's not going take me 2 hours and 45 minutes to finish. So I need a book.

If you want to get out of that I'd recommend you to go serious with some crazy shit and buy "Battle royale" (original title "Battle roiwaru" or something like that). Simple summary of the plot by me :
"Future Japan, society is going down the drain. In order to clean schools the government organizes some survival games every once in a while. In those "games", a random highschool class is selected, kidnapped and thrown into an island or restricted area. There they're given a bag with a weapon/gadget, some food and tampons for the girls. The rules are simple :
· The game is 72h long
· You can't kill the army men or anybody in control
· You can't get into a restricted zone
· You can't damage the collar you wear (it'll blow killing you if you try it or break any of the rules)
· If there's more than 1 survivor after the time, everybody would be killed
So the question for yourself is simple, would you kill your classmates??"

Btw, the book and film have inspired many people including Quentin Tarantino (remember the crazy Yakuza girl in Kill bill? She got the role thanks to the Battle royale film) and the whole Hunger games world (concept of the game is pretty much the same)
