MXS on console
Re: MXS on console
Reliable?
Re: MXS on console
Red and overheating when you play with them too much? We're talking about consoles still...aren't we?
Re: MXS on console
For what consoles are, they have more powerr than a computer equalized to a console becuase of how a game is coded etc. But PC's can run way higher and better games but you need the best of the best hardware usually. Besides, BF3 looks fine on my PS3 and for whast I paid for it, you cannot even come close to getting a pc to play bf3 like my ps3. Of course if I wanted to I could make it look so much better on PC but I'm pleased with it.

I cannot even tell you how clueless you are. Consoles are so underpowered, you don't even get it. Coding has nothing to do with the way the game is ran, unless you're talking about optimization, which included in most PC games. BF3 on a console is played on low-medium settings at best to keep up with resolution and the fact that it's hardware is complete and utter shit. You don't need top of the line hardware to play on a PC, a 500 - 600 build will let you play anything new, although you're not going to be able to futureproof unless you add 300-400 dollars. And 500 - 600 is probably what you're going to be paying for a next-gen console. If you're saying you cant get close to get a PC to play BF3, then you're utterly wrong, nearly any build will surpass what a PS3 is performing on the game, aslong as the build is within reason. BF3 also, is not as optimized as it should be for PC play, so even then, PCs are handicapped and still playing better than consoles.shawn1331 wrote:For what consoles are, they have more powerr than a computer equalized to a console becuase of how a game is coded etc. But PC's can run way higher and better games but you need the best of the best hardware usually. Re: MXS on console
Oh,my. You guys should read. I payed $180 for my ps3. Like I said yes, it doesn't run bf3 on high graphics. No it doesn't have 64 players or whatever. But I wouldn't be able to find a PC for $180 that can compare. Unless I bought a used one on some really really good deal. For what they charge for a ps3, you can't get a computer that compares. But, I never once said a ps3 had good hardware so I'm not sure where that came from? I did say for what a ps3 is, it's not bad. Yes,it's outdated and not really that good but they do alright and 99% of gamers are happy with them.Klutch wrote:I cannot even tell you how clueless you are. Re: MXS on console
Consoles hold back gaming so much, though. I've had my PS3 since December of 07 and the game manufacturers still have to make games which revolve around 5 year old hardware, which could possibly be much older than that because of the time it takes to develop the console itself.
You also have no idea what you're talking about with 'how a game is coded'. A lot of PC games are just Xbox ports, like Skyrim. The games are 'coded' as you say (lowered in graphical quality) so that the old-ass consoles can even run the games smoothly. I'd bet that you could get 6 year old PC hardware for even or less than the price of a 250GB console and a TV. You could also be smart like me and use a PC monitor, but that isn't the point.

Re: MXS on console
The last console I bought was a PS2, I'm most likely going to stay a PC gamer, don't plan on buying the next-gen.

Re: MXS on console
When the next-gen consoles come out, I'll probably get a new Xbox just because that's what all of my friends play. Other than Call of Duty, though, I'll probably get every new game for PC. It's a lot more convenient for recording, I can do other things on the side, games can be modded, etc etc. It's just better in every way to me.

Re: MXS on console
Older games like Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 was released on PC, PS2 & xbox. PC and PS2 were first to get it, then a few months later Xbox version came out with better graphics, new level and new skater. But it also eliminated online play which PS2 and PC have. Although xbox seems to be the better version, PC is easily best, moddable, active community, and the games 10 years old...
PC wins in my case of anything, but xbox could handle nicer graphics then the PC back in 2002..

Re: MXS on console
Console idea would be horrible. No more free tracks and gear made by the community. We would have to pay out money for them, and they probably wouldn't be made by the legendary guys that make the tracks on here. They would probably be half-assed crap with bamboo forests and blizzard weather for scenery on top of Mount Everest.
