3d animation/renders

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Dude there are no improvements on that beauty :D The weldings on each element are perfect and the materials are spot on. Insane work!

It looks great but maybe too perfect.

You could make the welding more visible like this one http://assets.hookit.com/RFS/2010/01/23 ... db09d9.jpg
Right know it looks like it's molded, which is fine, but the welded one looks better in my opinion.

A bevel edge would look great too under the screw (like on the previous pic).

You could also make the logo engraved or if it's already engraved, make it a little more like this one http://jimmyalbertson.files.wordpress.c ... -11171.jpg

The screw (the blue one) seems unfinished (if it's a Allen type screw or however it's called then it's fine)

@p2staa
Clutch cover looks super sick!
@maxime
What`s that for, for some reason the croods came to my mind, looks nice!

My first speed modeling video, the render is nothing great because blender internal engine isnt too good and i dont know how to use cycles xD

thanks man, great observations!
I was using this as my main reference picture as its from official Kawasaki page. And the things you pointed out aren't that visible, but i should check around more, thanks for the links! ;)
And for the blue screw, its the stock kawasaki one, not the one hinson puts on it, i like it more

Great looking again p2sta, Im curious though, I have been starring at it for a good 20 minutes now and have been struggling to figure something out.

If you don't mind me asking, are those welds modeled or bump mapped or maybe even displace mapped? If they are modeled, which I think they are, how did you manage to have the mesh perfectly clean where the welds go smooth around the base of the bolt?

Thanks :)

that really loooks awesome Benjii! Maybe the material needs a little bit more work as i don't think the reflectiveness is right, but hands down thats one awesome looking render, love your attention to details !

Ramon - I'm not really sure what you mean, there are no visible welds on the cover or you mean something else than I do with welds :) Mark it on the render of possible ;)

Oh sorry, no I mean like the rings that go around the cover, like little steps, how do you manage to get those steps smooth where the bolt is without some really funky things happening to the mesh haha
