I use this to patch the 3 files that are needed. http://universal-theme-patcher.en.softonic.com/

Then put the themes in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes. Some of custom explorer and shell files that go in system32 folder (back those up if you use the ones that come with the theme).

I got a thing called optimizer pro from that download link. Is that the right thing? I can't figure out how to use it to patch those files. Like I said, I'm a computer idiot.

I use a combo of rainmeters and a theme called U7 and I love it.

Ok. I liked the look of that U7 theme, so I found it, but now, being the computer idiot I am, I can't figure out how to get it implemented. Halp please!

This is U7, just to make sure you have the right thing. Its just an installer process where he includes all the things Nate is referencing and some software so you can easily change and preview his other themes. I can go through the install again to verify steps but I'm pretty positive it walks you through it.
