Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

That's just bad luck..

Sweden didn't go too great. Plenty of spins, a few times over the roof and a couple of recoveries...

Hey guys, I'm DankVapours/Zak or Z.Hodgson (Retired) on MXS. That idiot permanently on a 125.

Awesome league, I had no idea these existed until yesterday when Frederik/scheeve3 mentioned it. I think he enjoyed watching my broadcast of snowy action :L

Had a blast through the Sweden season today, never driven those strange FWD cars but... went pretty well aside from some minor roof action.
That snowing/night stage is lethal! I loved it haha. Blasting down a "150, bumps, 4 right" completely blind.

I probably should have climbed over all my junk and rigged up the wheel, but I'm not sure a microsoft sidewinder from the late 90s is really any better than an Xbox controller.

Obviously I have no hope of winning the championship thing, since I missed the first 3 seasons, but I'm going to make you work for the rest ;)

Take care and good luck folks, what's the next season?

hey, good to have you..

I'm not familiar with Sweden at all and didn't have much time to practice since most of that time went into another league I'm in, which was in Germany this week.. so jumping from tarmac onto snow was not the smoothest transition.

And mext week is Monaco which is the bane of my existence.. so I guess the other guys will have to step up and provide some competition :P

ps.. only 18 events completed and you're already that fast? how the f?

Hmmm... I used to race go-karts when I was younger (10 years ago now), have done a couple of laps of a rally-cross circuit and a small rally stage so that's a fair bit of fast-driving experience I guess? I've also got some experience with car setups, though the in-game description of settings is reasonably accurate!

But tbh, I reckon the biggest helping factor is just hours done in similar video games, like Project Cars, LFS, rFactor etc. Is 18 events not that much then?

Is Monaco the tarmac/ice one? Not really my favourite surface either, I'll have to take it easy or be spending a loot of time skidding down the road on my roof... those walls are lethal! What cars are we in?

Pfff, everyone's competition! It only takes one mistake and a nasty tree and it's race over; no matter how fast someone is haha

I am quite crashy... :/

Yeah, I just made the mistake of trying the new season while sick. I sneezed and sent the car over the cliff at about 110mph, bye bye Monaco. Oh well, back to Netflix

that's the curse of Monaco man, you gotta resist it, fight it. Once it has a hold on you, it'll never let go..

but seriously, that's what happens to me about every other monaco rally. I just have to drive through there like a grampa on a sunday morning, otherwise it all goes tits up.

That is ridiculous!

I however sent myself off a cliff on the first stage. Terminal damage..

Is there actually anyone who's making it till the end?
I didn't even made it to CP 2. Made a mistake on the ice and slid towards a snowberm at 20km/h. Got stuck on top of it and as my finger was reaching towards the menu button to recover my car I slid down a centimeter and got terminal damage as well.
The way how it all went I regret I didn't had some sort of screen recorder on, because it was as hilarious as frustrating xD

well i'm going to give it a go tommorow.. not expecting much.

as long as i can get through the snow and ice i'll probably be ok.. problem with these FWD cars is that they are absolute shit on ice..

I got through to the end but I lost a wheel on both the last two stages so my time increased by minutes. Freaking Monaco is brutal!

everyone always complains about greece.. but monaco is the real bullshit.. was actually going to make it.. terrible time because of bullshit punctures (and accidentally repairing one of the puntures because some idiot at CM thought it would be a good idea to make the reset button the same as the repair button).. but i was going to make it.. intill i accidentally put a tire off the road.. thats when the game decided I had terminal damage..

Seriously considering droopping monaco from the league at this point.

My car went through a beating between stages 2-4. I tried to be more gentle for the rest of the stages but the engine just failed on the last stage on a straight road while going flat out.
