Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

well, my times are going to be way off untill i get used to my new wheel. It's a much better wheel which is a problem because i was used to driving with a shitty wheel :P So now i have to unlearn all the terrible stuff I learned from the bad wheel.

What kinda wheel did you get?

GEICCO... That makes no sense. It's just a motor spinning left or right, what's not to support?

A Logitech Driving Force GT. not the fanciest of wheels but it has all the stuff that i need. my old wheel had only 270 degree rotation :P.. this one has the propper 900 and a lot better FFB. still using my old pedals though cause the new ones are pretty shitty and don't have a clutch pedal.. not that i use the clutch pedal anyway for Dirt. and the Driving Force GT doesn't have very nice flappy paddles, just 2 buttons on the back side of the wheel.. but I don't use those for shifting anyway so I have the lights and windscreen wipers set to those buttons.

for 120 euros it's a nice wheel.. I don't play enough racing games to spend 400 on a wheel setup.

Self centering torque? That made a huge difference for me too. Has nothing to do with turning off the other stuff though.

DFGT is a legit ass wheel, don't let the price tag fool you. Huttu won 30k using one.

Ahhh.. Drove too carefully and still made a couple of mistakes. Phathry should have no trouble winning the event.

That went reasonably well. This new wheel is really giving me trouble through slow turns.. my old wheel had much less rotation so now i have no idea how far to turn the wheel to slide the car into slow turns.

first few stages were not great but I managed to clinch 2nd place in the championship. Which I'm happy with considering the problems during the season.

Just realized I haven't set up a new season. will probably do that tomorrow.

Anyone have any suggestions? Was personally thinking of the Group B RWD cars.

So problems with the laugue championship creator.. I can't set a bunch of options regarding engineers and car upgrades etc.. apparently this is a bug. :(
From what I can see it will automatically set it so that everyone uses the upgraded cars even if you don't have all the upgrades (this is good), but it will disable carreer engineers meaning you will only have a tiny amount of repairs every service area, and you will not be able to set up the car, at all...

anyway, created a championship for the next 6 weeks. we'll see how it turns out.. if the bugs get fixed early enough I might just cancel the championshio and start a new one. depends on what everyone thinks we should do.

Season 3:
  • Car class: Group A
    6 events.
    8 stages per event.
    Service every 2 stages

    Start: today, dec 21th.
6 weeks, 1 event per week.
each event lasts from monday through sunday.

    NEW: Special stage.
    • A bit of an experiment this season.
The first stage of the rally is now a special stage.
Meaning: Get the fastest time on the first stage and you will earn 3 bonus points.
But don't wreck your car doing it. :D
